Hakeem Prime has returned with a new single titled “SideKick.” The release of his new single is made in response to a diss track made against him, where further details can be read here. On Genius “SideKick”, he holds nothing back as he sets the record straight and fires shots along the way.
One of the most notable elements with “SideKick” is that he’s rapping throughout the entire track, instead of singing. For fans that have followed his music closely over the years, this may come as a surprise because many of his songs feature him singing instead. As a result, the varying rhyme schemes in parallel with upfront punchlines work well with the bouncing trap beat heard underneath.
