What happened
- Lee offered to resign the vice mayor title during the meeting. The council rejected that (in a 4-3 vote on a substitute motion) and instead voted to strip the title from him.
- He was also removed from the city’s Audit Committee (6-1 vote).
- After the votes, Lee said he had a flight to catch (he posted that he was heading to Harvard for a guest lecture) and left the chamber, saying “See y’all later.”
