In this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we want to introduce you to upcoming artist Scoopy Benz and his brand new single titled “A U D I”.
Although it amuses him when people call him Scooby or Scooby Doo, his artist name comes from ” scoop ” which means exclusive information, news story or fact reported before anyone else.
Since in the ’80s and ’90s rappers were considered as ghetto reporters, Scoopy has chosen to be that journalist who only reports scoops “What you do not see on TV, what you do not hear on the radio ” but what happens in the underworld and darknet.
While the government puts the whole country on lockdown, Benz spends his quarantine creating new songs for his upcoming body of work “Drip Drip”.
The first track, produced by the multi-platinum producer Nick Luscombe is “A U D I”.
It’s a ride in the life of the artist talking about how he went from 0 to 100 fast as a Bugatti through racism, poverty, police brutality, public humiliation and marginalization.
